As a Quality Control Manager, you will be working in one of these market sectors: Commercial Buildings (healthcare, higher education, mission critical, and retail), Advanced Technology (semiconductor manufacturing, renewable energy), or Industrial (pulp and paper manufacturing). This role monitors and maintains Harder’s quality standards while complying with local and state regulations. This is a long-term, direct-hire position; the successful candidate will be assigned to an existing project with the potential for project opportunities beyond their originally assigned project. Candidates must be able to work locally at a job site in Chandler, AZ or willing to relocate there at their own expense.

You will work closely with other field team members to set quality standards, make suggestions to improve production without hindering quality of work. Required to supervise other Quality Control staff as assigned.

What you’ll be doing:
You will monitor and maintain the quality standards set forth by Harder Mechanical Contractors and ensure that all standards are met, comply with local and state regulations and continuously improve quality of work. You will work closely with other field team members to set quality standards, make suggestions to improve production without hindering quality of work. Required to supervise other Quality Control staff as assigned.
Quality Control Manager at Harder perform the following daily tasks:
- Supervise quality control inspectors, field team, and work to ensure all quality standards are met
- Oversee operations and procedures to make sure there are no deviations from the quality requirements and standards
- Track quality control statistics, and complete necessary documentation
- Inspect field work, and work with the Quality Control team to perform necessary tests and quality control assessments on-site
- Train Quality Control Professionals, lead meetings, and coordinate with the client and Project Management team
- Understand the quality requirements of the client, Harder Mechanical Contractors, and specific local and state regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, and 3D Modeling software (Autodesk products preferred)
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Plant 3D software
- Ability to communicate and work professionally with a broad spectrum of people including employees, craft, and clients
- Knowledge of quality control legal standards and procedures
- Organized and productive
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks on an ongoing basis
- 5+ years of experience with strong 3D piping knowledge
- A current or previous AWS CWI or LEV II certification
- Previous experience with structural and piping scopes, as well as process piping detailing experience
- Demonstrated experience in high-tech tool install process piping systems
